What do rotavators do?
Rotavators will break up uneven terrain for any number of reasons (one way of looking at how they actually work is to think of a plough cultivating a field, digging into the soil to cleave a furrow). Depending on the exact nature of your work, you might opt for heavy duty rotavator hire. These machines are driven by sturdy and durable 13ho engines that will drag the rotavator across the hardiest or terrain underfoot.
These machines have a variable speed control, and can also be made to propel either forwards or reverse. Safety is a paramount issue with all the hire equipment and tools that we make available to our customers, and the rotavators come with a safety clutch which will instantly stops tines and wheels. This would be ideal in the event of you coming across something in the ground which would potentially damage the rotavator, such as a buried boulder. Tines lock automatically when you engage the reverse gear engaged.
A similar product to the rotavator is the medium duty petrol cultivator. This is a tough and durable machine that is designed to perform under even the most demanding of conditions. It is ideal for allotments and gardens and will also provide a terrific finish when you are tackling ground that has previously been uncultivated.
The cultivators can be operated with ease and minimal fuss and will significantly reduce the effort and time required for each job. They are built with improved reliability, and come fitted with adjustable handlebars and anti-vibration. Like the larger rotavators, they employ forward and reverse speeds in order to maintain maximum manoeuvrability. Their working width is approximately 51cm (20 inches).
