Driven by a 13hp petrol engine, this heavy duty rotavator / cultivator is capable of tackling large areas of even the hardest terrain. As you walk along, the rotavator's tough blades break up and turn the soil, aerating it in preparation for fresh planting of seeds, vegetables or other plants.

With a variable speed drive control with forward and reverse speeds, this rotavator enables you to work quickly and easily and comes with a safety clutch to stop the tines and wheels instantly. The tines also lock automatically when reverse gear is engaged. Large wheels offer good mobility on rough ground, making it ideal for farmers and professional groundskeepers or gardeners.

Hire periods explained

  • Same day return - The item must be returned before we close at 17.00 hours on the same business day.
  • + Day - This is the rate for an Additional Day of hire.
  • Weekend - The weekend rate covers Friday 12pm to Monday 12pm.
  • Weekly - The maximum rate for each 7 day period.
  • Items are available for longer term hire. Please enquire.


Q - Will the rotavator fit into the boot of the car?

  • No, it won't. It weighs over 254.1kg so you would need a flatbed truck. However, we offer a next day delivery and collection service through the UK for a fixed fee of £7.50 + VAT each way so we can deliver this machine directly to your allotment, garden or place of use.

Q - What fuel does the rotavator use?

  • The rotavator will run off regular unleaded petrol.

Q - Can this rotavator tackle tough, hard ground?

  • Yes, it can.It is designed for heavy-duty applications and with its counter rotating tines, it will break up the most soil, clay and sod.

Q - Can the rotavator work on a slope?

  • Yes, it can be used on a hill up to a gradient of 20 degrees. There is an oil alert system fitted on Honda engines, and this will stop the engine automatically if the incline is greater than 20 degrees.

Q - It this rotavator easy to use?

  • Yes, it is very straightforward and easy to use by both inexperienced or professional users with it's fingertipped controls. For peach at mind though, we always provide you with a handover guide as well when you take delivery of the machine showing you how to use it safely, and we are also more than happy to show you how to use it as well. As for the controls, they couldn't be easier. One handle to set the tine drive and one for the operating the wheels. When you engage the clutch lever, you can set the ground speed using the variable speed drive adjuster and engage the tines when you are ready to rotavate. As soon as you stop and release the clutch, then the wheels and the tine will stop leaving the engine running for when you are ready to go again.

  • There is a depth bar which you would lower to raise the tilling depth and raise to reduce tilling depth.
