  • Light Duty
  • Commercial & Domestic Applications
  • Ideal for - Top Soil on Garden Borders, Allotments & Vegetable Plots
  • Easy to Use & Transport

Ideal for cultivating garden borders and preparing vegetable patches and allotments, this light duty ground tiller or cultivator has been built to the highest standards and is both reliable and easy to use. It can be used at anytime throughout the year, however we recommend using the tiller in ground that is not too hard. This machine is not suitable for virgin ground, for this type of application we would recommend a heavier duty machine such as our Medium Duty Rotavator (product code - 140010)

Our light duty petrol ground tiller is powered by a 4 stroke 5.5 horsepower Honda GX 160 engine which is not only one of the most renowned and powerful motors in this power range but is also able to withstand the toughest of conditions without sacrificing performance. It also runs on standard unleaded petrol.

Suitable for use for both commercial and domestic applications, this ground tiller will make light work of cultivating almost any allotment, vegetable plot or garden and can work effortlessly up to a gradient slope of 20 degrees. Fitted with 16 heavy duty tiller blades, 8 either side and a full-width stainless steel tine guard for added protection and safety, this 160 cc light duty tiller will dig up to a depth of 8 inches (20 cm), saving the operator a substantial amount time and effort when digging and cultivating the soil.

The machine is fitted with a transport wheel located at the front of the tiller which is solely used for moving it to the area of operation. It is not used at any point during the rotavating process. This wheel stays in position by using a spring mechanism and by pulling on the wheel, it will release the tension thus allowing you to move the wheel upwards 180 degrees, so it is out of the way of the digging tines.

Adjustable Handlebars are designed for comfort and operator safety. The handlebars are height adjustable and will fold to allow for easy manoeuvrability and transportation.

Being only 70cm wide, the tiller will easily fit through a standard garden gate.

FAQs

Q - How to operate the Camon C2000 tiller

  • Changing the depth and speed the tiller will dig into the ground is easily done using the drag bar located at the rear of the machine. This bar is fitted with a number of holes through  which its locating pin can be positioned and the lower the hole used on the drag bar, the deeper the machine will dig.  The forward speed of the tiller is controlled by the operator applying downward pressure on the handlebars which will force the drag bar into the ground. This acts as an anchor for keeping the tiller in place while the blades cultivate the soil. By releasing this downward pressure on the handlebars, the machine will walk itself forward into its new cultivating position.  A throttle lever on the handlebar will control the engine which in turn will control the speed of the digging tines. By increasing throttle speed, you would increase the rotational speed of the tines.  If you are using a cultivator in dry conditions ensure that the area has been well-irrigated before you start work.  During use, particularly on a high throttle setting, make sure that you wear a hard hat with a protective visor; sturdy working boots without laces that could get caught; and ear defenders.

Q - Is there anything I need to do before using the tiller?

  • Yes, make sure all long grass and foliage, sticks and stones are removed from the area to be worked on before proceeding. It's suitable for both domestic home gardeners as well as professional contractors and will make light work of rotavating garden borders, allotments and vegetable patches. Please ensure you are wearing the correct protective clothing - Ear Defenders, Gloves, Protective Footwear, Safety Glasses. These personal protection packs can be added to your order at checkout.

Q - When can it be used?

  • This tiller can be used all year round although it's not really suitable for use on very hard virgin ground. For that, we recommend you use our Medium Duty Rotavator (product code - 140010)

Q - What is the digging depth of the tiller?

  • The Camon C2000 Tiller will rotavate up to a depth of 8 inches (20cm).

Q - Is the tiller self-propelled?

  • Yes, it is, so there is no need to push.

Q - What is the working width of the tiller?

  • The tiller will cultivate a working width of 25 inches (64cm).

Q - What fuel does the tiller use?

  • It will run on regular unleaded fuel.

Q - Will the Camon C2000 Tiller fit through a garden gate?

  • Yes, it would fit through a standard garden gate. Please check measurements before hire.

Q - Is it easy to move the tiller to the plot to be cultivated?

  • The C2000 Tiller has a transport wheel, solely designed for moving the tiller to the area of digging. You can easily move the transportation wheel out the way when you are ready to dig with the tines.

Q- Will the tiller fit in the car for transportation?

  • No, it's too big for a car but will fit in a box van. Alternatively, you can opt for our next day delivery and collection service to anywhere in the UK from one of our many branches for a fixed fee of £7.50 + vat each way. For those wishing to collect the machine from your nearest branch, the dimensions and weight of the tiller are as follows: Dimensions (L W H) 140cm x 70cm x 84cm, Weight 75kg

Q - Can I set the depth that the tiller will dig?

  • Yes, the tiller comes with a drag bar which is located at the rear of the machine, and this is used for controlling the speed and the depth that the tines will dig into the ground (up to 8 inches). It has some holes which are used with a pin to fit the drag bar into position securely. The lower the hole used on the drag bar to hold it in place, the deeper it will dig.

Q - Does the tiller work on slopes?

  • The tiller can work on slopes up to 20 degrees.
